Brian Carter is Director of Search Engine Marketing at Fuel Interactive (blog), an interactive marketing agency in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. He is responsible for the SEO, PPC, SMM, and ORM programs at Fuel and its partner traditional agency Brandon Advertising & PR.
Brian previously was an E-Commerce Manager, a freelance PPC and SEO consultant, CEO of an online magazine, and a co-founder of Healthprints.com.

Brian has been involved in alternative medicine since 1999 as an acupuncturist, a writer for Acupuncture Today, and author, a teacher at the Master's degree level, and a conference speaker.
Brian founded The Pulse of Oriental Medicine to explain Oriental medicine to a general audience. Brian, who is a Christian, created ChristianAcupuncture.com to dispel fundamentalist misperceptions. He also created a medical terminology website based on the class he taught at The Pacific College of Oriental Medicine..
Brian holds a Masters of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine from The Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, and has been a licensed California acupuncturist. He is not currently practicing acupuncture.
His latest alternative medicine effort is AHLifeMed.com, a social voting site where readers and writers can submit and discuss interesting articles and blog posts, and vote on their favorites.
Brian is a stand-up comedian. A number of his live comedy routines and short films are on YouTube. He has an out-of-date but funny MySpace comedy page.
Brian has a business humor YouTube channel and a cutting edge business humor blog, "Humor 2.0" . NEW: A site that makes fun of the search and tech industries with Onion-like satire... Schmearch.com!
Brian and his wife, Lynda, named his dog "Brad Pitt", because he was so good looking (the dog, not Brian, even tho he is also good looking). They named their other dog Seratonin, because she needs some. They believe she is 50% coyote and 100% brain damaged. Lynda now wants to call her Dopamine instead but Brian loves her too much to call her Dopa.
He's also a bit of a twitter comedian with chuck norris jokes and stand up comedy. He hopes one day to be a cool corporate comedian, if he's very very lucky and learns to be funny.
Brian learned piano at age six, played violin from age 12 to 16, and has played guitar since 1989. Yeah, that's like forever-ago!
His senior project for his Bachelor's degree was to create four songs in the style of South American Mestizo Folk Music, complete with lyrics in Spanish. It was amazing.
Brian loves to play open D tuning improvisations on his acoustic guitar, but he has also composed electronica, ambient, and Christian music.
